Future of Wapping Station is Safe

Following a two-year campaign by Labour Councillors in Wapping working with local people, Ken Livingstone promised the station would stay open.  This was well reported in local papers including the Tower Hamlets Recorder.  In addition Transport for London have said, “any speculation that we will close Wapping permanently is untrue. It is key to the Mayor’s transport plans.  He knows how important the station is.”  Local people can rest assured that the future of Wapping Station is safe, not because of Tory scare tactics but because local Labour Councillors, a Labour MP, Labour London Assembly Member and local people worked in unison to save our station.

Promoted by Ray Collins, General Secretary, the Labour Party,on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
Hosted by Tangent Labs, 32-42 East Road, London, N1  6AD, England, UK
