 Cllr. Abdal Ullah

I have had the privilege of serving the people of St. Dunstan’s and Stepney Green as their ward councillor since 2006. The past four years has seen me lead policies to improve community policing, increase recycling, enhance services for the young. Successes for Stepney include funds for elderly luncheon clubs, support of local women’s projects, and massive investment in housing on the Ocean estate.  My professional career experience includes working for one of the UK’s top consulting firms working across government departments on various projects in the health, education and community development sectors.

Cllr. Oliur Rahman

Oliur came in to politics via the anti-war movement and was elected at the age of 23 which makes him one of the youngest Councillors in Tower Hamlets. He has been working hard for people of St Dunstan’s and Stepney Green for past five years Oliur will continue to campaign for better Housing, Youth Facilities and more investment. He very strongly believe more young people should be involved in politics and decisions which affect them in order to ensure that their views are correctly represented.  He is currently the Lead Member for Employment and Skills and organised and managed first jobs fair by Tower Hamlets Council, were attended by more than 7,000. He works as a Civil Servant for the past 10 years. He have lived in Tower Hamlets all his life and hopes to continue representing the community here.
